Ultrasound Results

Hello all.

I have taken a while to get on to blog. Nathaniel has been sick all week, and now I am feeling pretty sick. But, I wanted to add our news. We are going to have another..........Boy! Yes, we were pleasantly surprised. I didn't know what to expect when we went for the ultrasound. It is just nice to have an answer, and know which boxes of clothes I will need to get ready. I can feel the baby more now, and it is great. Kayla talks about the baby in my tummy. Nathaniel doesn't understand, but he has some time to get used to sharing his room with the baby.

Have a great day.

Potty Training

Kayla is such an amazing and determined little girl. She was potty trained in like 3 days. She does so well at making it to the bathroom on time, and loves her princess panties. She even had a dry night the other night. We actually forgot to put her pull-up on, but she was okay the entire night. She is such a big girl.

Halloween

We had a fun Halloween. Kayla dressed up like Snow White, and Nathaniel dressed up like a cowboy. We did go trick-or-treating. We got quite a haul. we have discovered that Kayla is a Choc-o-holic. Everyday she gets a piece or two of candy. I ask what she wants, and she always says "Chocolate". When I say her chocolate is all gone. She just says. "I want Chocolate". She definitely doesn't get that from me.

We got some pictures taken last week, and we had a great time. we had three costume changes, and the kids were troopers. Thank you Aubrey for doing such a wonderful job.

Twins?

Definitely not!!! After my last post I received some comments asking if I was having twins. Well, last week I had an ultrasound, and I can calmly say, no, we are not having twins. Our tiny baby looked cute and healthy with a good heartbeat, and measuring a day ahead, so things seem to be going well. Kayla is convinced I will be having a girl. Her "sister" as she calls the baby. Kids are pretty in tune, so we will see how correct she is.

Have a great day!

And Baby makes five

Yes, I know that you may all be in shock, but, alas, it is true. Spencer and I are expecting baby #3. I have been sicker than my other two pregnancies put together, but I am hoping that will start to ease up. I just started my second trimester this week. I am now twelve weeks along, and I think I am starting to show a little. My mom spilled the beans before I did (that's okay mom). I have a difficult time keeping quiet about exciting news like this. But, I held strong through the first trimester, and here we are today. I think I will have a poll later on to see what you think the gender will be. I have some thoughts, but no dreams yet, so I am still mostly undecided.

We are all doing well. Nathaniel now goes up and down the steps like a pro. Kayla dances and sings all day like a princess. Spencer keeps us all alive and happy, and, well, I seem to be an okay incubator. Anyway, have a wonderful day.

Bubba turns One!!!

Nathaniel is growing up so fast! I can hardly believe he is already one. We made cupcakes and decorated them like baseballs. His, of course, had a number 1 on it.

At one point, I thought he was going to actually throw his "ball" at me. He really enjoyed it.

We went to a Bees Game Aug 8. We went with some of Spencer's co-workers and their families. We sat on the grass, and Spencer even caught a fly ball. Kayla loved riding on the train, and Nathaniel just loved roaming around on the blankets. We had a great time. What can I say? We are a baseball family!

We also went to Wheeler Farm in July. Kayla loved seeing the animals, and feeding the ducks. We loved watching the pigs sleep.

In July, Kayla, Nathaniel and I went to Thanksgiving Point. We had a wonderful time seeing all the gardens and waterfalls. Kayla had so much fun playing in the fountain.

STORM

This is the adorable Australian Cattle Dog/ Pitbull that we had for a week. Alas, I am not ready for a dog, especially not a puppy, so, we only had her for a week. Kayla was heartbroken when we took her back, but if you ask her where storm is, she will tell you. "Storm is at home"

This is my "Bubba". (That's what his sister calls him too. I guess it's a lot easier than Nathaniel.) He has the cutest smile that could make anyone smile and laugh. He loves his new mobility of rolling around. Still not crawling. Kayla is able to get him laughing so hard he gasps for breath, and giggles more. He loves to be held, and to feed himself. He loves Cheerios and he also seems to like eating grass. I really have to watch him when we are outside doing yardwork. He is such a happy baby. He is now learning to fall asleep on his own, which makes me very happy.

This is a picture of a shelf I have next to my front door. Spencer helped me with the decorating, I was so impressed.

I love my fireplace. This was one thing that really caught my attention when we first saw this home. Also the fact that it didn't need new paint, carpet or doors was also a very positive factor.

We love our new home and I am happy to say that I now have some flowers in bloom. Our garden is nearly in, and we have gotten our weed problem in a little better control. Let's just say that when I looked out the window washing dishes, I would see more yellow than green on the grass. But, I did like all the color.

Here is our little "Fairy Princess". Kayla loves to sing, dance, dress in pretty dresses, and just plain be a princess. She will lay down, close her eyes and wait for someone to kiss her awake. She can sing Sleeping Beauty's song "I know you, I walked with you once upon a dream" and loves to sing and dance to any princess song.

One day she was very emotional and insisted that she was not Kayla, but that she was Belle. So, I asked her who I was. She said, "You're Sleeping Beauty" I then asked her who Daddy was. she wasn't sure, so I suggested Prince Phillip. She liked that. Then when I asked who the baby was, she said, matter of factly "Baby". However, now that she has thought of it. The Baby is now the Beast, her best friend.

Here is the love of my life. This handsome man allowed me to snap his picture, quite reluctantly. I loved that he wore the hat I got for him. He is so handsome.

We went to our first Baseball game as a family. Kayla was scared of the Bee, but thinks of him as her friend. I bet that if she saw him again she would be just as scared. It was a great game, a beautiful day, and a fun night.

Here is Spencer's team. He is an assistant coach for Hunter High School.
Now, for the summer team (called Automotive) He is the head coach. He loves it so much. He is a great leader and motivator for the youth. Now, whenever we pass Hunter High School, Kayla says, "Baseball". She has a great memory. She loves the games, especially making friends at the games. Nathaniel loves to sit on the grass and just be outside. He will learn soon enough all about the great American Past time.

I did not fall off the face of the earth.

So, my sister Danielle got on my case to update my blog, because so much has happened. In January we moved into our home, which we all love. February Kayla turned the big 2, with a princess themed birthday, and Spencer turned a quarter of a century(no princess theme for him).

Nathaniel now has two teeth, and is rolling like a champion. He is almost bigger than his big sister. He is 22 pounds, and Kayla is 25. Talk about great weight lifting right at home!!!

Spencer is an assistant baseball coach at Hunter High School, and is loving it. I love having a happy husband, and fun activities to take the kids outside to do.
